This is the home page of Jess and Leah, two sleuths hot on the trail of murderers, thieves, and all sorts of other miscreants. Though they don't originally start out working together, over time they come to be Forensics 7, a network consulting and engineering company.

Jess is an old hand electronics engineer who switched to network engineering after spending time in the US Air Force. He was raised on lakes throughout the Southeastern US, and takes after his grandfather, who was a County Agent. He shoots competitively, plays guitar, reads, and doesn't watch television at all.

Leah comes from a completely different style of life. Her father was an agent in an undisclosed department of the US Government. Both her parents were murdered when she was young, and she was primarily raised by her grandparents after this. She has lived in the Washington, DC, area all of her life, and has set her life's goal to living up to her father's name and reputation.

The idea for this series of books worked its way out of my own life as a network engineer.
